MAGIC
OF THE 80’s”, a two hour show
dedicated to the
best music of that decade. Nominated by the New
York City
Air Awards for Best Syndicated Program originating
from
New York, MOT80’s has grown since its’ debut
on WHUD,
and can now be heard on stations across the country
from
Hawaii to Maine. In February 2000, host Tom Furci received
his first industry award at the Gavin Convention
in San
Francisco. He was named Music Director/Assistant
Program
Director of the Year for Secondary Markets. Two
more Gavin
Awards followed. And in 2003, he received the Billboard
Award as Music Director of the Year. Tom has also
been
nominated three times by Radio and Records, the
other
premier radio industry newspaper. And locally,
a New York
City Air Award Nomination for Best Midday show.
Tom is
involved with several non profit organizations
in various fund
raising activities. Including the Make a Wish Foundation,
the
Children’s Cancer Fund, the March of Dimes,
the Orange
County ARC, the Hope For Youth Foundation and others. |
